Overview

AFmajorproduction is a composer and sound designer originally from Charleston, South Carolina, now based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After years of producing music, the project evolved into a focused exploration of composition and cinematic sound design—shifting away from traditional beat-making toward immersive textures, evolving atmospheres, and emotionally driven sonic environments.

Evolution

The transition from producing to composing was intentional and driven a growing focus on sound as environment rather than structure. Over time, rhythm and form gave way to texture, movement, and emotional weight—allowing the work to function less as songs and more as cinematic sound design. This shift led naturally toward composing for film and visual media, where sound exists to support atmosphere, tension, and narrative rather than performance.

Mentorship & Foundation

AFmajorproduction’s foundation comes from years of hands-on music production, which continues to inform its compositional and sound-design approach. Mentorship from The Almighty E-A-Ski helped shape discipline, sonic intention, and respect for craft, and also influenced the AFmajorproduction name itself. Through mentorship, Blue Infinity Vlog played a pivotal role in encouraging the transition from producing to composing after hearing the evolving sound design work—helping solidify the shift toward texture, atmosphere, and cinematic intent, while also contributing insight into creative growth and long-term artistic thinking. Outside of music, Vickie Flores plays a key role in personal decision-making and creative direction, also encouraging the pursuit of composing, and designed the AFmajorproduction website—helping translate the project’s identity into a clear and intentional visual presence.

Current Focus

Today, AFmajorproduction operates at the intersection of composition and sound design, creating cinematic textures, evolving atmospheres, and emotionally driven sonic structures designed to support visual media and narrative space. The work prioritizes tone, movement, and restraint—treating sound not as foreground performance, but as an environment that shapes feeling and perception. Each composition is approached as a living system, built to breathe, transform, and exist in service of story rather than convention.
